DISEC

Hello everyone! I’m Meimei Litowitz and I’m pleased to announce I will be chairing the Disarmament and International Security Committee (DISEC) at the first ever MUNIFY conference. I am currently a student at the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy and this is my second year doing MUN. I have competed both in international and national conferences and been an avid member of MUN teams at both DHS and IMSA. In addition to MUN I love hanging out with my friends and listening to music in my free time.

In the Disarmament and International Security Committee (DISEC) we will be divulging into the complicated world of corrupt bureaucracies and cybersecurity. Both topics are incredibly relevant to today’s foreign policy so I’m excited to see what ideas you rising diplomats have. Who knows? Maybe one day you’ll be pitching your resolutions to the real United Nations!

I am looking forward to seeing fruitful debate, diplomacy, innovative solutions, and some fun speeches! The DISEC board is working hard to bring you a great committee so we hope you make the most out of it. Model UN is a great chance to meet new people, practice public speaking, and learn to collaborate with others!
